Mission Statement: The Greater Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce mission is to promote commerce and prosperity in the business community. The Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 84th year of serving local businesses and the community!
Message from the Executive Director Since 1928 the Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce has been a salesman for the business community. Our goal is to increase the viability of the Havre de Grace business climate and enhance the quality of life in our beautiful "City by the Bay". When you invest in the Chamber of Commerce, you get immediate returns such as: customer referrals, website listing and links, your business cards and brochures displayed in the Visitor Center, networking opportunities, listed three ways in the annual Business Directory and Guide and representation in local and state government. If you are a member, make sure you are taking advantage of the benefits, and if you are not a member, joining could be your smartest business move yet. I am looking forward to another great year! Message from the President Congratulations to all in the success of this 2007/2008 Havre de Grace Chamber Of Commerce Directory! Please join me in giving a big "Thanks" to our Director, the Chamber Volunteers and Bill Watson for a job well done. If you are a member reading this publication, thank you for being part of a special group of people. Your commitment, attendance and financial contribution is recognized and appreciated. The Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce is really the ultimate networking group around. In addition to the networking opportunities, the Chamber of Commerce has become the back bone of the business community. With Havre de Grace now being known as the "Gem of Harford County"; there's no better place to do business. For those of you that have picked this book up while visiting our fine city, or maybe you are even contemplating a move here, welcome. Back to top Committees Membership - This committee is responsible for the recruitment of our new members and maintaining good relations with present members and it establishes dues. Business Development - This committee is responsible for Business Card Exchanges and other networking programs to help the members become known in the community. Program - This committee is responsible for identifying topics and speakers that are useful to assist the membership in promoting and operating their businesses. Legislative - This committee holds meetings with the membership to determine issues that the Chamber should be involved in for the good of our business community. Ways & Means - This committee develops, promotes and carries out various events to raise funds for the Chamber.
